Southampton University Boat Club is run by students for students. SUBC is both one of the largest and oldest societies on campus, with a history dating back to 1904 as well as boasting several Olympic athletes, such as Miriam and Guin Batten, as part of our alumni. As well as this, Mike Beresford, a Team GB Olympic rower, recently retired as a coach at our club. We are a student led society with the intention of both teaching and improving on all rowing abilities, whether a complete novice or a competent rower seeking to develop their skills at the higher education level.
We are dedicated to the continual growth of our club, and endeavour to work as hard as we can to allow SUBC, and our members, to fulfil their potential. However, we can’t do this alone, and this is where we hope you will come in. Rowing can be an expensive sport and, as a successful club, this can sometimes hinder our success. We believe sponsoring our club can be beneficial to you, as well as to us. With branding exposure and publicity opportunities available, we enjoy building relationships with businesses and individuals leading to gains on both sides.
